The superscript ™ symbol usually is applied by using the standard settings of the application you are working with. According to the applied font and the respective font size the s superscript ™ symbol is inserted automatically.
In case the superscript ™ symbol is first used in a main title or chapter title, the ™ symbol is treated in a special way.

Indicate the trademark status via superscript ™ symbol in the first primary use of a trademark or service mark (i.e., whether it occurs in the body text, caption, headline or sub-headline). For uses thereafter, it is not necessary to use the trademark symbol any more.
