Brand partnerships
The following guidelines are designed to safeguard and feature the Phonak brand in various partnership environments. It is important that we care about our brand. For this reason, we ask you to take the extra step to drive positive equity and to give our partners their due credit.
Design principles
These key principles give a framework for all activities in branding partnerships:
• The Phonak brand must clearly displayed and given prominence
• Visual elements (such as the Phonak logo or the Phonak logo icon) must not be altered or associated with misleading context
• Certain partnerships require separate consultation from the Phonak brand team.
• If there are any doubts about how to apply the principles, contact the Phonak brand team: branding@phonak.com
Phonak brand elements
The Phonak brand elements such as logo, logo icon, illustrations, brand colors and typefaces are an important part of the visual communication and play a major role in distinguishing the Phonak brand and its brand promise from competition.
Not compliant examples
To maintain the recognizable and unique look of Phonak, the usage of the brand elements is restricted. The examples shown on the right do not comply with our interests and are not acceptable.
Co-branding
Co-branding is an arrangement between two or more partner brands to work together to achieve a desired goal.
The Phonak/AB co-branding
Phonak and Advanced Bionics stand united under the Sonova brand vision of a world where all patients can enjoy in the delight of hearing. This connection is unlike anything else in the world of audiology.
Detailed design guidelines of the Phonak/AB co-brand can be found

Co-op marketing material
We define the co-op marketing material as tools that showcase a
pre-designed area according to the style guide of Phonak.
Pre-designed templates for co-op tools
Templates with a customizable area for ads, email newsletters, or similar are available depending on the launch or campaign. The header area is pre-designed art work (i. e. a current campaign, officially created communications) and must not be altered. The footer area is fully available for the distributor’s content.
See here the design principles for co-op marketing tools
Endorsement use
Endorsement lines are used to clarify the involvement of Phonak in relationship (e. g. roger technology used by third parties or private labels in BtB and/or BtC communications).
Please contact the Phonak brand team if you want to create a new
endorsement as it needs the written approval from VP Phonak marketing.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship is a cash and/or in-kind fee paid to a property (typically in sports, arts, events, etc.) in return for access to the useable commercial potential associated with that property. It is a partner dominant situation. We need to respect the partner brand but ensure that Phonak is being communicated appropriately.
Minimum requirement for displaying the logo
The full logo (incl. tag line) needs to be displayed on the respective properties (see examples above).
Exception: If a background does not allow to use the main logo due to the background being too dark the inverted, full white version of the logo can be used.
